Holcombe Valley Holiday Cottages are situated in a peaceful rural valley just three miles from Dorset's fabulous Jurassic Coast - part of a World Heritage Site - near Weymouth and Dorchester. Four self catering cottages converted from stone barns set in an area of outstanding natural beauty. They can sleep from 2 to 7 people and are equipped with all that you will need for a comfortable stay.

Situated near Weymouth and Dorchester, we are surrounded by arable farmland and chalk downs. Directly from your front door you can walk for miles down footpaths and bridleways without going near a road. Watch deer, foxes, hares, rabbits, buzzards... There is an active badger set about 200m away and the badgers are frequently seen during summer months.
From the hills behind there are magnificent views over Weymouth Bay and Portland, the race area for the Sailing Events during the 2012 Olympic Games. If you want to venture further, we are ideally placed for visiting Dorset's Jurassic Coast - Lyme Regis and Charmouth for Fossils, Chesil Beach, Lulworth Cove & Durdle Door, Dancing Ledge, Old Harry Rocks and Studland Beach. There are four RSPB reserves nearby - Fleet, Radipole, Lodmore and Arne.
For the those interested in history, nearby, just outside of Dorchester, we have the huge Iron Age Hill Fort at Maiden Castle and another at Eggardon Hill. The ruins of Corfe Castle sit in a dominating position in a gap in the Purbeck Hills. And of course, local author Thomas Hardy has this part of Dorset featured in his works.
